If Your Friend Has These Traits, It’s Time to Be Careful
The recent tragic incident in Plateau State, where a young man allegedly lost his life after being accused of stealing a phone, has brought about conversations about the kind of people we choose to call our friends.
While investigations are still ongoing, one thing is clear: friendship should be built on trust, loyalty, and respect, not suspicion, violence, or betrayal.
Sometimes you have someone around you who you call a friend but in the real sense they are frenemies !
Here are some traits that should make you think twice and terminate such friendship:
They are quick to believe rumors about you without hearing your side.
They enjoy embarrassing or humiliating you.
They pressure you into making bad decisions.
They become jealous whenever something good happens to you.
They gossip about everyone, including their closest friends.
They only reach out when they need a favor.
They never take responsibility for their mistakes and always blame others.
They encourage revenge or violence instead of peaceful solutions.
They constantly manipulate or lie to get what they want.
They show little or no empathy when someone is in pain.
A true friend will stand by you, seek the truth before judging you, and encourage peaceful ways of resolving conflicts not violence.
Let’s be careful with our friend choices
