Happy Resumption!
School is back in session!
To all the children returning to school today, we wish you a happy and successful new term. May this term bring new lessons, new friendships, great results and plenty of reasons to make your parents proud.
Parents and guardians, here are a few things you can do to help them have a better term:
1. Support their homework — You don’t have to do it for them. Be available to guide them when they need help.
2.Support them emotionally — Ask how their day went. Sometimes, “How was school today?” Is an open the door to a conversation they really need to have with you
3. Help them build a routine — Adequate sleep, getting ready on time and having their school things prepared can make mornings less stressful.
4. Celebrate their effort, not just their grades Encourage them when they improve, even if the result doesn’t seem perfect.
5. Pay attention to changes — A child who suddenly becomes withdrawn, unusually quiet or reluctant to go to school may need someone to listen.
A new term is another opportunity to help our children learn, grow and feel supported.
Wishing every child a safe, happy and successful term.
Happy resumption!
